Ian Dapot is a designer and strategist with experience in retail, fashion, financial services, health care, and consumer goods. Previously Ian worked in the Boston and New York offices of international design consultancy IDEO, and with Sub Rosa in New York. Ian focuses on helping companies create new experiences and relationships with users; developing new brand platforms, user experiences, and designing products and services.

Ian received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and an MFA from Yale University where his thesis focused on the relationships between maker and audience, and the unintended or unforeseen adaptation and interpretation of design by users. His work has been recognized by the IDEA Awards, Adobe Design Awards, and Hatch Awards, as well as appearing in Data Flow 2, Fast Company, Communication Arts, and Print. A speaker and writer on design thinking, design process, and collaboration across disciplines Ian has lectured for the AIGA, RGD, ULI, and numerous colleges and universities.
